GMED
October 15, 2025
Globus Medical, Inc. (NYSE: GMED) announced the launch of the ANTHEM™ Elbow Fracture System on October 14, 2025, adding a comprehensive plating portfolio for complex elbow fractures to its trauma line. The system offers anatomically contoured plates for distal humerus, proximal ulna, proximal radius, and coronoid fractures, with 14 plate families and 2.7 mm/3.5 mm screw options that feature poly‑axial locking technology for flexible fixation angles. The launch includes calibrated drill guides and a 40° cone of angulation for screw placement, allowing surgeons to tailor constructs to individual fracture patterns while minimizing triceps disruption. Dr. Gary Updegrove, a Penn State Health surgeon, reported that the plates fit well and supported strong fixation in his first clinical use, highlighting the system’s practical design and versatility. By expanding its trauma offerings, Globus Medical strengthens its competitive position in the elbow fracture market, a niche that complements its existing spine and joint reconstruction portfolios. The new product line is expected to broaden the company’s market reach and provide additional revenue streams as surgeons adopt the system’s simplified workflow and advanced fixation capabilities.
