Genasys Inc. announced on July 22, 2025, that it has received Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) orders totaling more than $1.0 million for deployment in Africa and the Middle East. The company anticipates additional LRAD orders within the current fiscal quarter.

Richard Danforth, CEO of Genasys, stated that LRAD systems support a full spectrum of defense, border security, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure protection operations by providing exceptional long-range communication. These systems empower agencies to cover more area with less personnel and communicate from safe standoff distances.

Peter Ayre, Genasys Vice President of EMEA Business Development, noted that LRADs are crucial in regions dealing with large border incursions, populations on the move, and civil unrest. The systems' clear communication and scalable escalation of force capabilities help prevent confusion and resolve chaotic situations, securing borders and preventing illicit activities.
