Genasys Inc. provided a second update on August 15, 2025, regarding the $75 million Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) Emergency Warning System (EWS) project. The company confirmed the full deposit for the third group of dams has been received, allowing for unabated progress on the project.
Physical construction is now underway on 9 of the 19 dams that have received design approval, with essentially all hardware for the first two groups already delivered to the island. Genasys has recognized $5.6 million of project-related revenue year-to-date in fiscal 2025.
A significant milestone was achieved with the completion and acceptance of the first dam's EWS implementation by PREPA officials, including the software to be utilized across all seven groups. Construction is underway on all six dams in the first group, and EWS construction on the third group of dams is expected to begin later in August.
