Genasys Inc. announced on June 19, 2025, an increasing interest and orders for its CONNECT platform, a mission-critical communications solution for government and law enforcement. This surge in demand has been spurred by the 'Signalgate' controversy, involving the use of the Signal messaging app for sensitive information sharing within the federal government.

Chief Jeff Halstead (Ret.), Genasys Senior Director of Strategic Accounts, noted that public safety leaders across the United States are actively seeking information, demonstrations, and placing orders for CONNECT. The platform's coverage has expanded to 41 states and over 500 agencies, with additional states and multiple agencies conducting deployment trials.

Genasys CONNECT is highlighted for its fully compliant, encrypted communications, specifically designed for governmental operations, high-profile investigations, and sensitive military missions. This allows local, state, and federal agencies to avoid the problems associated with using non-FOIA-compliant consumer apps like Signal, which are designed to allow users to hide or delete communications.
