Garmin Ltd. secured a contract to modernize 24 UH‑60L Black Hawk helicopters for the Brazilian Air Force, installing its G5000H integrated flight deck. The G5000H is IFR‑certified, modular, and built on an open‑systems architecture, providing advanced mission‑management, stores‑management, and military‑grade sensor integration, along with Helicopter Synthetic Vision Technology (HSVT) and Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning System (HTAWS). The deal expands Garmin’s military aviation portfolio and reinforces its position as a leading provider of avionics for rotary‑wing platforms worldwide.

The G5000H has been installed in UH‑60 Black Hawks by Ace Aeronautics since 2020, and Brazil is the fifth military program to adopt the system. Adding 24 high‑value aircraft to its fleet, Garmin demonstrates the proven integration capability of its commercial‑off‑the‑shelf solution in demanding military environments, strengthening its competitive standing in the global rotary‑wing market.

The announcement follows Garmin’s Q3 2025 earnings, where revenue reached $1.8 billion and earnings per share of $1.99 beat estimates, prompting the company to raise its full‑year EPS guidance. The new contract is expected to contribute to continued growth in Garmin’s aviation segment and support its strategy of expanding COTS solutions into military markets.

Analysts noted the contract as a strategic win. Longbow Research upgraded Garmin to a Buy rating on December 3, citing the company’s expanding military footprint and the proven track record of the G5000H platform.
