Globalstar Expands Canadian Ground Station Infrastructure for Third-Generation C-3 System

Globalstar, Inc. announced that construction has commenced at its two Canadian ground stations, High River in Alberta and Smiths Falls in Ontario. This expansion involves adding three additional tracking antennas at each facility, continuing Globalstar's global infrastructure expansion. These enhancements are designed to support both Globalstar's existing satellite constellation and provide critical infrastructure for the advanced capabilities of the third-generation C-3 mobile satellite system. The Canadian facilities have been in continuous operation for over twenty years. L. Barbee Ponder, General Counsel & Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, stated that these significant additional investments in Canada will support new and innovative next-generation mobile satellite products and services throughout the entire North American region. This is part of a worldwide effort to deploy over 90 additional tracking antennas for the C-3 system.
