The Charlotte Hornets, Gray Media, Capitol Broadcasting, and FanDuel Sports Southeast are partnering to simulcast five Hornets games this season. These games will be distributed free, over-the-air in various markets throughout North Carolina and South Carolina via the Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network and other Gray affiliates. This marks the first time Hornets basketball has aired on local, free over-the-air television since the 2007-08 NBA season. The agreement aims to provide fans with more ways to watch Hornets basketball and expand the team's regional reach. Shelly Cayette-Weston, Hornets President of Business Operations, emphasized the organization's commitment to growing its fanbase and making broadcasts more accessible to all. Sandy Breland, Chief Operating Officer of Gray, expressed enthusiasm for bringing the Charlotte Hornets to over-the-air viewers across the Carolinas. This partnership underscores Gray's commitment to delivering desired live sports content to its viewers, enhancing its local sports programming portfolio.
