Gray Media announced it will broadcast Super Bowl LIX using High Dynamic Range (HDR) at all its NEXTGEN TV FOX affiliates, allowing viewers in eight markets to experience improved contrast and vivid imagery. WVUE, Gray’s FOX affiliate in New Orleans, the Super Bowl host market, recently launched both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ formats, along with four other Gray FOX affiliates. These upgrades extend to three additional Gray FOX affiliates, ensuring millions of fans in these markets can enjoy the highest quality picture and sound over-the-air and for free. Sandy Breland, Gray’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that live sports events are ideal for showcasing the immersive audio and vivid imagery of NEXTGEN TV. In a further enhancement, Gray introduced GameLoop, a new NEXTGEN TV free gaming channel, in Atlanta and New Orleans. GameLoop allows users to play iconic games like Pac-Man and Tetris on select NEXTGEN TVs using their remote or mobile phone, with plans to launch in additional markets soon. This initiative highlights Gray's commitment to leveraging advanced features to boost viewer experience.
