Granite Construction announced its Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) project with San Francisco International Airport (SFO) for the Runway 1R-19L Rehabilitation and Taxiway W Construction Project. The total anticipated construction value is estimated at $115 million and was included in Granite's second-quarter Committed and Awarded Projects (CAP).
This project is a key component of SFO's multi-billion-dollar Capital Improvement Program (CIP), aimed at modernizing and improving the airport's infrastructure. The scope includes upgrades to hot mix asphalt pavement, lighting infrastructure, drainage, signage, and Runway Status Lights (RWLS).
Granite will supply approximately 185,000 tons of P401 and P403 Mix from its Santa Clara Asphalt facility for the project. Construction is expected to begin in March 2026 and continue through November 2026, reinforcing Granite's long-term partnership with SFO.
