Granite Construction's new AI learning platform, Granite Asphalt Guru, has been honored with the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Innovation of the Year Award. The award was presented at the AGC Annual Convention in Columbus, Ohio.
The Asphalt Guru platform is designed to capture expert knowledge and deliver tailored training for asphalt paving professionals. It leverages a vast internal knowledge base, including 900 pages of interview transcripts and thousands of documents, integrated with external data such as OSHA injuries and DOT standards.
More than 400 Granite employees have already utilized the platform, which has answered over 1,000 questions, enhancing training and simplifying complex concepts. This recognition underscores Granite’s commitment to innovation and empowering its teams, contributing to improved execution and quality within its core operations.
