Himax Technologies, Inc. announced that its third-generation automotive TDDI IC, the HX83195 series, and automotive OLED touch controller IC, the HX8530 series, commenced mass production in the third quarter of 2024. These launches strengthen Himax's position in the high-end automotive display market.
The HX83195 series has been adopted by Zeekr, a high-end Chinese EV brand, for its 16-inch, 3.2K x 2K high-resolution in-cell touch display. Himax holds over 50% market share in the global automotive TDDI market, with accumulated shipments exceeding 70 million units.
The HX8530 OLED touch IC, developed in collaboration with leading Korean OLED panel makers, entered mass production for a flagship electric MPV by a major Chinese car brand. This IC complies with stringent automotive standards and features an industry-leading signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 45 dB.
