The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation announced on August 13, 2025, that the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize. MAG is a humanitarian organization focused on landmine removal and armed violence reduction in conflict-affected communities.
MAG will receive an unrestricted funding award of $3 million, an increase from $2.5 million to mark the 30th anniversary of the prize. Since 1989, MAG has helped over 23 million people in more than 70 countries rebuild their lives after war, playing a leading role in the international effort to prevent landmine use.
This award recognizes MAG's extraordinary efforts to help communities return to safety and prosperity, particularly amidst rising levels of geopolitical conflict where landmine casualties, especially among civilians and children, remain high. The prize funding will enable MAG to invest in research, innovation, and emergency response.
