Hallador Energy Company announced that its Conversion Transaction Commitment Agreement with a leading global data center developer was terminated by the counterparty. The company learned of the termination at the close of business on May 19, 2025.
This agreement, which became effective on January 2, 2025, had granted exclusivity in negotiations for a potential long-term power supply deal. The termination means the exclusive negotiation period has ended.
Hallador stated that discussions with the original counterparty for an additional exclusivity period and non-exclusive discussions are ongoing. The company is also evaluating opportunities with other interested third parties for power supply agreements.
