PlainsCapital Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilltop Holdings Inc., announced today that its Chief Credit Officer, Darrell Adams, will retire on November 10, 2025, after 37 years of service. The announcement was made on October 17, 2025.
Brent Raindl, currently the Dallas Region Chairman, will assume the role of Chief Credit Officer. Raindl has been with PlainsCapital since 1998 and has led operations across Dallas, focusing on commercial real estate and private banking.
In addition, Thomas Ricks, President of PlainsCapital’s North Dallas branch, has been promoted to Dallas Region Chairman. Ricks joined the bank in 2003 and has over 20 years of commercial banking experience in the Dallas market.
The leadership transition is expected to maintain continuity in PlainsCapital’s credit policy and risk management framework, supporting Hilltop Holdings’ broader strategy of disciplined balance‑sheet management and local market expertise.
