National Retail Solutions (NRS), a subsidiary of IDT Corporation, has added Grubhub to its nationwide point‑of‑sale (POS) network, allowing independent convenience stores, bodegas, and neighborhood retailers to accept remote orders for delivery or in‑store pickup directly through the Grubhub app. The integration embeds Grubhub’s ordering interface into the NRS POS, so menu updates, inventory levels, and order status flow automatically between the two systems.

The move removes the manual steps that have historically slowed small‑business participation in the delivery marketplace. Retailers can now manage Grubhub menus, hours, and analytics from the familiar NRS POS, reducing training time and operational friction. Real‑time syncing of inventory and menu changes also cuts out out‑of‑stock cancellations, improving the customer experience and increasing order volume.

NRS has already partnered with other delivery platforms—DoorDash, Uber, Point Pickup, and Relay—to offer its merchants a range of logistics options. Adding Grubhub expands the company’s addressable market and strengthens its position as a one‑stop solution for independent retailers seeking to compete in the growing online food and convenience delivery sector. The integration is expected to lift revenue per terminal and enhance profitability for early adopters, as management notes that early users are reporting stronger returns and higher return‑on‑investment metrics.

"We are tremendously excited to announce our integration with Grubhub," said Elie Y. Katz, President and CEO of NRS. "By embedding Grubhub directly into the NRS point‑of‑sale system, we are making it easier for independent retailers to expand their reach and unlock new revenue streams without adding operational complexity," added Stephanie Grammel, Director of Integrations & Solutions at Grubhub. Ari B. Korman, SVP of Ecommerce at NRS, highlighted that early results show retailers with the integration achieving significantly increased profitability and very strong ROIs.

The partnership aligns with IDT’s broader strategy to focus on high‑margin growth businesses within its fintech and cloud communications portfolio. By enhancing NRS’s digital ordering capabilities, IDT can capture additional revenue from the delivery sector, reinforcing its commitment to scaling high‑return verticals and delivering value to its core customer base of independent retailers.

The integration positions NRS ahead of competitors that rely on a single delivery partner, giving its merchants a diversified logistics network and a competitive edge in a market where convenience and speed are paramount.
