Ingram Micro introduced the Sales Briefing Assistant, its first enterprise‑grade AI agent built on Google Gemini, designed to provide real‑time market insights and sales recommendations to its global sales teams.

The agent is part of the Xvantage AI Factory, the company’s core platform for developing and deploying AI solutions across its distribution network. It integrates with more than 400 existing AI models and leverages Gemini’s large‑language capabilities to generate sophisticated responses and automate complex customer interactions.

The launch underscores Ingram Micro’s AI‑first strategy and its shift toward a platform‑centric business model. CEO Paul Bay said the assistant will help sales teams move from reactive order fulfillment to proactive value creation, while Google Cloud’s Matt Renner highlighted the partnership’s role in expanding Gemini’s reach through Ingram Micro’s global network.

Ingram Micro’s market capitalization stands at about $5.1 billion and annual revenue is $50.2 billion, illustrating the scale of the company’s operations. The Sales Briefing Assistant is expected to enhance operational efficiency for partners and customers by automating routine tasks and delivering real‑time insights.

The company’s Xvantage platform already serves nearly 90 % of the global population, positioning the new AI agent to have a broad impact across its supply‑chain and customer‑facing services.
