Intuit Inc. announced on January 12, 2026 that it has entered into a strategic partnership with BDO Canada LLP, a leading Canadian accounting and advisory firm, to embed Intuit’s AI‑powered platform into BDO’s advisory workflow for small and mid‑size businesses.
Under the agreement, Intuit’s QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma and Mailchimp solutions will be integrated into BDO’s advisory services, enabling advisors to deliver real‑time financial analytics and automated workflow recommendations to Canadian clients.
The partnership marks a strategic shift for Intuit, moving beyond its core software products to become a platform partner for professional services firms. For BDO, the deal enhances its assurance, accounting, tax and advisory services by adding data‑driven insights and automation, allowing advisors to focus on high‑value strategic advice.
Jim Krahn, Partner and Leader of Corporate Growth & Operational Excellence at BDO Canada, said the partnership “simplifies complex decisions and delivers real‑time insights, helping Canadian businesses move forward with confidence.” An unnamed Intuit executive echoed that the collaboration embodies Intuit’s mission to power prosperity for consumers and businesses worldwide.
Canada’s cloud‑based financial software market is growing rapidly, and Intuit’s AI initiatives—Intuit Intelligence and Intuit Assist—position the company to monetize its data and AI capabilities across professional services. The partnership builds on a 2021 alliance that leveraged QuickBooks technology for Canadian businesses.
The financial terms of the partnership have not been disclosed.
