Intrusion Inc. announced its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025. The company achieved its fifth consecutive quarter of sequential top-line growth, with total revenue reaching $1.9 million, a 28% increase year-over-year. For the six months ended June 30, 2025, revenue was $3.6 million, up 41% from the prior year.
This growth was significantly bolstered by a Department of Defense contract awarded in the second half of 2024, which drove both consulting revenue (up 16.67% YoY to $1.4 million in Q2 2025) and Shield revenue (up 66.67% YoY to $0.5 million in Q2 2025). The company also successfully offset the loss of a major, highly customized Shield customer.
Despite the revenue growth, operating expenses increased in Q2 2025 to $3.5 million, primarily due to higher share-based compensation, merit increases, and strategic hires. The net loss for Q2 2025 was $2.0 million, or $0.10 per share, compared to a net loss of $2.1 million in Q2 2024. Zacks Consensus Estimates projected Q2 2025 EPS at -$0.09 on revenue of $1.8 million, which the company beat on revenue.
