IsoEnergy Launches Bulk Sample Program at Tony M Mine to Evaluate Restart Feasibility

IsoEnergy has begun a bulk sample program at its 100‑percent owned Tony M uranium mine in Utah, a restart‑ready site that has been fully permitted and previously produced uranium in the 1970s. The program, which started in late December 2025, will extract up to 2,000 tons of mineralized material over a 12‑ to 14‑week period using GenX Mining Contractors, LLC of Spring Creek, Nevada. The recovered ore will be shipped to the White Mesa Mill, owned by Energy Fuels Inc., the only operational conventional uranium mill in the United States with a licensed capacity of more than 8 million pounds of U3O8 per year.
The bulk sample is a critical de‑risking step that will provide IsoEnergy with real‑world operational and economic data needed to assess the feasibility of a full‑scale restart under current market conditions. The company had already reduced state royalty rates and completed metallurgical and evaporation studies in 2025 to improve recoveries and lower capital intensity, positioning the Tony M mine to restart more quickly and cost‑effectively than a new development.
IsoEnergy acquired the Tony M mine in 2021 as part of a package of three permitted, past‑producing uranium mines. By advancing this mine, the company aligns itself with the U.S. Department of Energy’s $2.7 billion investment over ten years to expand domestic uranium enrichment capacity, reflecting a national push to reduce reliance on foreign uranium and secure a domestic supply chain for nuclear power.
The program’s success will enable IsoEnergy to make a data‑driven decision on a restart, potentially positioning the company as a key domestic uranium producer and supporting the broader U.S. energy security agenda.
Overall, the bulk sample program reduces the time and capital required for a restart by leveraging existing infrastructure and the White Mesa Mill’s processing capacity, thereby accelerating IsoEnergy’s path to production and strengthening its competitive position in the growing domestic uranium market.
