Jabil Inc. announced a strategic collaboration and pilot program with Apptronik, an AI-powered humanoid robotics company, to build and integrate Apollo humanoid robots into Jabil's manufacturing operations. This partnership positions Jabil as the worldwide manufacturing partner for Apollo humanoid robots, providing Apptronik with the flexibility and agility to scale production globally.
As part of the pilot, newly manufactured Apollo units will undergo real-world validation testing within Jabil’s factory environments. These robots will perform simple, repetitive intralogistics and manufacturing tasks, including inspection, sorting, kitting, lineside delivery, and fixture placement, before deployment to Apptronik customer sites.
This collaboration aims to augment Jabil's existing workforce by allowing human employees to focus on more creative tasks, while also optimizing Apollo’s AI models through real-world use cases. The partnership leverages Jabil’s manufacturing expertise to achieve mass production of cost-effective humanoid robots, expanding into new markets like front-of-house retail and elder care.
