John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. has completed the consolidation of its Elgin and Lakeville distribution operations into a new 446,000 square foot leased facility in Huntley, Illinois. This strategic move frees up 300,000 square feet at the Elgin headquarters.
The newly available space at Elgin is being repurposed to expand production capabilities, including additional bar production and nut/trail mix packaging capacity. This relocation and consolidation are part of the company's broader Long-Range Plan to enhance operational efficiencies and support future growth.
The new Huntley facility is expected to streamline distribution processes, contributing to increased domestic production capabilities and improved related infrastructure. Some new equipment at the expanded Elgin facility is expected to be in production by the end of fiscal 2025.
