Joby Aviation, Inc. and Uber Technologies, Inc. today announced plans to bring Blade’s air mobility services to the Uber app as soon as next year, following Joby’s recent acquisition of Blade’s passenger business. This integration aims to introduce Uber customers to seamless urban air travel.

In 2024, Blade flew over 50,000 passengers across a network of routes in the New York metropolitan area and Southern Europe, including high-traffic destinations like Newark Liberty International Airport and Manhattan. Integrating these services into the Uber app will leverage Uber’s global platform and Blade’s proven network.

This expanded partnership is a natural next step in Joby’s global collaboration with Uber, which began in 2019. It will lay the foundation for the introduction of Joby’s quiet, zero-emissions aircraft in the years ahead, accelerating the launch of electric air taxi service in markets including Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
