The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), Joby Aviation, Inc., and Skyports Infrastructure today announced a long-term collaboration to launch a passenger air taxi service network in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) by 2027. This announcement followed the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding.
This partnership brings together RAKTA’s vision for advanced mobility, Joby’s electric air taxi technology, and Skyports’ expertise in vertiport infrastructure. The initiative is part of the region’s broader mobility and sustainability goals, aiming to provide efficient and sustainable travel options.
This agreement further expands Joby's commercialization efforts in the United Arab Emirates, building on its existing plans for Dubai. It demonstrates continued progress in establishing a global footprint for its air taxi services and developing the necessary infrastructure for future operations.
