Keysight introduced the N99xxD‑Series FieldFox handheld analyzer, a new line of portable RF instruments that deliver 120 MHz gap‑free IQ streaming and high‑speed data transfer across a 14‑54 GHz frequency range. The device supports 25 software‑defined applications, including vector network analysis, real‑time spectrum analysis, noise figure measurement, and direction‑finding, allowing engineers to capture, stream, and replay every signal event without data loss.

The FieldFox D‑Series runs a Linux‑based operating system and features a touchscreen interface. Integrated AI capabilities automatically classify major wireless standards—LTE, 5G NR, Wi‑Fi, and Bluetooth—providing rapid, accurate spectrum insight in the field and enabling seamless integration with Keysight’s Spectrum Management Software for lab workflows.

This launch expands Keysight’s portable test portfolio and strengthens its position in the growing demand for mobile, high‑bandwidth RF analysis tools. The product targets communications, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets, where the need for rapid, wideband signal capture is accelerating with the rollout of 5G, emerging 6G, and satellite communications. By offering a handheld solution that combines wideband coverage, AI‑driven classification, and secure Linux operations, Keysight addresses a key gap left by traditional handheld analyzers that are limited in bandwidth or data transfer speed.

Eric Taylor, General Manager and Vice President of Keysight Aerospace, Defense, and Government Solutions, said the new FieldFox D‑Series “redefines portable RF analysis with high‑speed interfaces, gap‑free streaming, and secure Linux operations.” The announcement signals Keysight’s continued focus on delivering field‑ready solutions that meet the evolving complexity of modern RF environments.

The launch positions Keysight to compete more effectively against rivals such as Rohde & Schwarz, Anritsu, and Viavi Solutions, all of whom are expanding their portable RF tool offerings. By integrating AI and a broad frequency range into a handheld platform, Keysight provides a differentiated product that can capture the full spectrum of signals in 5G, 6G, and satellite scenarios, giving customers a competitive edge in both field and lab settings.
