KNOT Offshore Partners LP announced the acquisition of the shuttle tanker Daqing Knutsen from its subsidiary. The purchase price for the vessel was $95 million, marking a significant investment in fleet expansion.
The transaction involved the assumption of $70.5 million of outstanding debt associated with the vessel. Additionally, $300,000 of capitalized fees were part of the acquisition terms.
This acquisition is expected to bolster KNOT Offshore Partners' operational capacity and contribute to its long-term revenue backlog. The addition of the Daqing Knutsen reinforces the partnership's position in the specialized offshore oil transportation market.
