Kratos Defense & Security Solutions announced on 2025‑10‑07 that it has been awarded Phase 1 of a new contract to develop an organic sustainment capability for the U.S. Navy’s AN/SPY‑1 radar systems. The award, internally known as Project Anaconda, carries an initial projected ceiling of $175 million and will be executed in multiple phases. The contract includes the construction of a 155,000‑square‑foot Indiana Radar Integration Complex (IRIC) located within 1.5 miles of the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana. The facility is slated to be operational in 2027 and will provide dedicated depot‑level support and modernization for AN/SPY‑1 systems expected to remain in service through 2065. This award is a significant milestone for Kratos, creating a long‑term revenue stream and establishing the company as the first U.S. provider of an organic sustainment capability for a critical Navy radar platform. The project aligns with Kratos’ strategy of investing in internally funded infrastructure to secure high‑value defense contracts and is expected to generate multi‑year value for both the company and the U.S. Navy.
