Lancaster Colony Corporation announced its plan to acquire a sauce and dressing production facility in Atlanta, Georgia, from Winland Foods, Inc. The asset purchase transaction is valued at approximately $75 million and is expected to close in the first quarter of calendar year 2025.
The facility spans approximately 300,000 square feet, with about 250,000 square feet designated for manufacturing operations. This acquisition is a strategic addition aimed at benefiting the company's core sauce and dressing operations.
CEO David A. Ciesinski highlighted that the facility will improve operational efficiency, provide incremental capacity, and offer closer proximity to certain core customers. It is also expected to enhance the manufacturing network from a business continuity standpoint, supporting long-term business needs.
