Laser Photonics Corporation announced on February 11, 2025, that it received an order for a second and third CleanTech 500-CTHD laser cleaning system. The order came from Sargent & Lundy for use by Bruce Power in Ontario, Canada, operator of North America’s largest operational nuclear power plant.
The initial system's proven environmental and worker safety advantages were key factors in ordering additional units. These CleanTech systems offer a safe, eco-friendly approach to nuclear plant maintenance, reducing radioactive waste and enhancing worker safety.
The second and third CleanTech systems will be deployed in Bruce Power’s Vacuum Building Outage (VBO) program, which commenced in April 2024. This program involves a temporary shutdown of Bruce B’s four nuclear units for thorough maintenance and inspection, reinforcing the critical role of LPC's technology.
