On November 18, 2025, L3Harris Technologies and Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders officially broke ground on the Arkansas Advanced Propulsion Facilities (AAPF) campus in Camden, Arkansas, marking the start of a new solid‑rocket‑motor production complex.

The new campus represents a $400 million investment that will expand L3Harris’s large solid‑rocket‑motor manufacturing capacity six‑fold. The facility will produce medium and large motors for the Patriot, PAC‑3, and other interceptor programs, as well as for hypersonic vehicles and missile‑defense targets, positioning the company as a key supplier for U.S. missile and space initiatives.

The expansion underscores the company’s role in the U.S. “Arsenal of Freedom.” By adding domestic production capacity, L3Harris strengthens the national defense industrial base, reduces reliance on foreign suppliers, and supports the U.S. missile‑defense shield, including the Golden Dome program.

L3Harris’s ability to fund the AAPF comes after a strong Q3 2025 performance, in which revenue rose 7 % year‑over‑year to $5.7 billion and adjusted earnings per share beat expectations by $0.14. The company also raised its 2025 revenue guidance to $22 billion, reflecting confidence in sustained demand for defense products and the scalability of its new facilities.

CEO Christopher Kubasik emphasized the project’s strategic significance, saying the campus is a “generational” investment that will “unleash America’s ‘Arsenal of Freedom.’” He added that the partnership with Arkansas will “fortify the domestic solid‑rocket‑motor industrial base” and “strengthen the U.S. defense industrial base.”

The AAPF is expected to create jobs and stimulate economic activity in Arkansas, with a significant portion of the investment earmarked for local suppliers and workforce development initiatives.
