On October 21, 2025, LKQ Corporation announced a partnership with Ecobility Services GmbH to install a large‑scale rooftop solar power system at its central logistics center in Sulzbach‑Rosenberg, Germany. The project covers more than 12,000 square metres and will feature over 6,000 photovoltaic modules under a 20‑year power purchase agreement (PPA). The system is projected to generate roughly 2.7 gigawatt‑hours of electricity annually, covering up to 50 % of the site’s electrical demand and saving an estimated 1,000 metric tonnes of greenhouse‑gas emissions each year. This aligns with LKQ’s sustainability roadmap and the commitments outlined in its 2024 Sustainability Report. The 20‑year PPA provides predictable energy cost savings and positions LKQ as a leader in green logistics within the DACH region. The initiative supports the company’s broader transition to electric fleets and circular‑economy practices, reinforcing its long‑term value‑creation strategy.
