Lantronix Inc. announced on December 26, 2024, that it finalized its acquisition of NetComm Wireless Pty Ltd’s enterprise Internet of Things (IoT) business assets. The transaction was completed for $6.5 million in cash, along with the assumption of certain liabilities.
This strategic acquisition enhances Lantronix’s focus on the Enterprise and Smart City vertical markets and expands its next-generation 5G capabilities. The integration of NetComm’s IoT portfolio strengthens connectivity solutions in mission-critical areas such as critical infrastructure, asset monitoring, and telecommunications.
The acquisition adds new blue-chip Enterprise customers and opens target-rich geographic markets, including Australia and New Zealand, for Lantronix products. Lantronix expects DZS’s NetComm enterprise portfolio to generate between $6 million and $7 million in revenue during calendar year 2024.
