Lumen Technologies launched Lumen Defender℠ Plus, a new cybersecurity product designed to empower businesses with the same threat intelligence that safeguards Lumen's global network. This service is built entirely on Lumen's network and powered by Black Lotus Labs intelligence.
Lumen Defender Plus automatically blocks internet-based cyber threats, including bots, malware, spam, phishing, and Command and Control (C2) activity, at the network edge before they reach a business's environment. A pilot program with Apex DataCom demonstrated strong results, including a 70-80% decrease in security alerts and the blocking of hundreds of brute force attacks.
The service is integrated with Lumen® Internet On-Demand (IoD) and will be extended to Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) environments in the future. This proactive security solution aims to minimize the burden on internal IT teams and improve operational efficiency for enterprises.
