Live Nation Canada has renamed the Toronto waterfront amphitheatre to RBC Amphitheatre, following a multi‑year naming‑rights agreement with the Royal Bank of Canada that runs through 2038.

The venue, formerly known as Budweiser Stage and originally Molson Amphitheatre, will undergo a $200‑million redevelopment that will close the site in fall 2027 and reopen as an outdoor venue in summer 2029, with full year‑round operations by summer 2030.

The expansion will increase summer capacity to 18,000 seats, including a 9,000‑seat lawn, and winter capacity to about 9,000 seats, allowing the venue to host more than 1.5 million fans annually.

New features will include a pedestrian bridge, upgraded amenities, expanded food and beverage options, enhanced hospitality areas, a lookout deck with elevator access to the lawn, and sustainability measures aimed at meeting the Toronto Green Standard.

The deal builds on RBC’s long‑standing partnership with Live Nation Canada, which began in 2017, and will also allow Avion Rewards members to use points for tickets starting in 2026.

The redevelopment is part of the broader Ontario Place redevelopment plan, which also includes a Therme spa and waterpark, and is expected to create hundreds of jobs and boost local tourism.
