Microbot Medical Inc. announced on February 25, 2025, that research from its collaboration with Corewell Health on robotic telesurgery has reached a meaningful milestone. Data assessing the feasibility of using the LIBERTY Endovascular Robotic System to perform simulated cardiovascular interventional procedures remotely was accepted for presentation. The research will be presented at the Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) annual meeting, held from March 8-11, 2025, and will be published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) Interventions online edition. The study demonstrated the LIBERTY system's functionality in a telerobotic setting, with procedures conducted across two sites 5 miles apart. This groundbreaking research highlights the potential for integrating telesurgery capabilities into the future of healthcare, which is an important part of Microbot Medical's long-term strategy for LIBERTY. The system's small footprint and disposable design create possibilities for expanding access to high-quality healthcare in remote locations.
