MongoDB, Inc. announced its commitment to pursuing Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High and Impact Level 5 (IL5) authorizations for MongoDB Atlas for Government workloads. This initiative will expand the company's eligibility to manage unclassified, yet highly sensitive, U.S. public sector data. Achieving FedRAMP High authorization will allow even the most critical government agencies to utilize MongoDB Atlas for Government for secure, fully managed workloads. This includes systems in emergency services, law enforcement, financial operations, and health sectors, where data confidentiality, integrity, or availability is paramount. MongoDB Atlas for Government already serves 13 U.S. Federal Cabinet-level agencies, every branch of the Department of Defense, and various Intelligence Community partners. The upgraded authorization will enable these agencies to leverage MongoDB's Queryable Encryption, multi-cloud flexibility, high availability, and native vector search for building AI applications with high-impact data.
