ID R&D, a Mitek Systems company, announced on February 18, 2025, that its advanced passive liveness detection technology, IDLive® Face, delivered industry-leading results in a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate’s (S&T) evaluation. The rigorous assessment of remote identity validation systems involved 21 systems, including both active and passive Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) solutions. IDLive Face, participating under the anonymized label 'PAD-P9,' successfully blocked 100% of imposters, outperforming the only other solution that achieved this benchmark in areas of accuracy and speed. This validation confirms that passive liveness technology can deliver measurable business impact by reducing fraud while enabling seamless and secure digital transactions without requiring extra steps from customers. Alexey Khitrov, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Mitek, stated that the evaluation validates the belief that strong fraud protection does not have to compromise user experience. IDLive Face is already integrated into Mitek’s portfolio of identity verification solutions and is trusted by over 150 partners in more than 70 countries, reinforcing Mitek's commitment to precision-driven performance and optimizing accuracy.
