Herman Miller, a MillerKnoll brand, introduced the Gemma Seating Family, a new collection designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals within healthcare environments. The family includes the Gemma Recliner, Sleep Chair, Flop Sofa, and Double Sleep Sofa, all crafted with a modern aesthetic and intuitive mechanisms to ease stress for patients and caregivers.
The Gemma Recliner is available in three sizes to accommodate various mobilities, while the Sleep Chair and Sleep Sofas offer seamless transitions between sitting and sleeping positions. These designs aim to create welcoming and comfortable environments, allowing individuals to focus on patient health rather than furniture functionality.
Additionally, Herman Miller announced updates to the award-winning Mora System, designed by Colin Nourie. Enhancements include expanded upper cabinets, shelving, towers, soft-close hinges, a recycle/trash cabinet, and a benching option. These improvements organize supplies and reduce clutter, creating a calmer space for care providers. Both the Gemma Seating Family and the updated Mora System will be available in the Americas, Middle East, and Africa through MillerKnoll dealers starting late June 2025.
