Mercer, a global human‑resources consulting firm and subsidiary of Marsh McLennan, announced the acquisition of Hexarem, a Montreal‑based boutique consulting firm founded in 2013 by Patrice Gélinas.
Hexarem specializes in executive compensation and governance advisory services for public and private sector clients across Canada. The acquisition adds deep expertise in these areas to Mercer’s existing consulting portfolio and expands its presence in the Canadian market.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Management said the deal is expected to generate revenue synergies and enhance Mercer’s ability to serve clients with complex compensation and governance needs.
The acquisition aligns with Mercer’s broader strategy to broaden its consulting offerings and deepen relationships with clients across North America. Hexarem’s clients will gain access to Mercer’s global capabilities, while Mercer’s clients will benefit from Hexarem’s specialized expertise.
