Momentus Inc. and DPhi Space announced a partnership to deploy DPhi Space’s Clustergate‑2 edge‑computing payload on Momentus’ Vigoride 7 orbital service vehicle.

Clustergate‑2 is a self‑contained payload bay that transforms any host spacecraft into a shared, high‑performance computing hub, allowing developers to upload and run software and AI algorithms directly in orbit. The partnership expands Momentus’ hosted‑payload services into the edge‑computing and AI market, creating a new revenue‑sharing stream.

Vigoride 7, the fourth flight of Momentus’ Orbital Service Vehicle, is scheduled for early 2026 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The vehicle can carry up to 1,200 kg to low‑Earth orbit and has a delta‑V capability of 1,200 m/s, enabling it to service multiple satellites and payloads.

The collaboration signals Momentus’ strategic shift toward software‑centric services and positions the company to capture a share of the growing on‑orbit data processing and autonomous operations market. The partnership comes as Momentus’ stock has fallen 85% year‑to‑date, underscoring the importance of new revenue streams. DPhi Space’s model of hosting multiple customers’ software payloads without dedicated satellites aligns with the broader trend of reducing space access costs.
