M&T Bank announced on March 4, 2025, the appointment of Carmen Magistro as Northern Pennsylvania Regional President. Magistro, previously the Commercial Senior Group Manager for Northern Pennsylvania Commercial & Industrial, has assumed additional responsibilities to strengthen M&T's presence and customer service in the region.
In this expanded role, Magistro will collaborate closely with the Community Bank leadership team for Northern Pennsylvania while continuing to oversee M&T's commercial banking operations. He succeeds Phil Johnson, who announced his planned retirement at the end of 2024.
Magistro brings over 22 years of financial services experience, including more than 16 years with M&T Bank. Mike Keegan, M&T Bank Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Community Banking, noted Magistro's enduring commitment to the communities and his pivotal role in fostering economic growth and supporting local businesses.
