M&T Bank announced on March 20, 2025, that Charles Pinckney, currently the Regional President for Albany, will take on the additional responsibility of Regional President for the Hudson Valley region. This expanded role aims to strengthen M&T's presence and enhance service to customers throughout the region.
Pinckney succeeds Mark Stellwag, who announced his planned retirement at the end of 2024. In his dual capacity, Pinckney will collaborate closely with the community bank leadership team for the Hudson Valley, encompassing retail banking, business banking, commercial banking, wealth management, government banking, and charitable teams.
Mike Keegan, M&T Bank Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Community Banking, highlighted Pinckney's proven leadership and commitment to the Capital Region. M&T Bank maintains a strong presence in Albany and the Hudson Valley with a network of 40 branches across 20 counties.
