Kirkwood Mountain Resort commenced its 2024/25 winter season on Saturday, November 30, 2024, six days ahead of its scheduled opening. The early start was attributed to 29 inches of new snow and significant efforts by its Mountain Operations and Snowmaking teams.
On opening day, guests had access to 365 acres of terrain and one terrain park, serviced by Chairs 5, 6, 7, and 9. The resort's early-season footprint included top-to-bottom runs and a mix of beginner-to-advanced terrain.
Kirkwood also debuted a reservations-based parking program for weekends and peak periods, starting mid-December, offering both free and paid options with carpool incentives. The My Epic app, featuring Mobile Pass and Mobile Lift Tickets, is available to enhance the guest experience.
