Northstar California Resort opened for its winter season on November 21, 2024, a day earlier than scheduled, following new snowfall and effective snowmaking efforts. The early opening provided guests with groomed runs, beginner learning terrain, and two pocket terrain parks.
The resort introduced My Epic Gear, a membership program offering access to over 60 ski and snowboard models with slopeside pick-up and drop-off. Additionally, the My Epic app now includes features like Mobile Pass, Mobile Lift Tickets, 'Find My Friends,' and My Epic Assistant, an AI-powered in-app guide.
Northstar also implemented a reservations-based parking program for weekends and peak periods starting mid-December, offering a combination of free and paid options with carpool incentives. These initiatives aim to improve traffic flow and the overall guest arrival experience.
