Widespread Early Season Snowfall Leads to Early Openings Across Vail Resorts' Northern Hemisphere Properties

Vail Resorts announced on November 22, 2024, that snow fell across all regions of its Northern Hemisphere resort operations, marking the start of the 2024-25 ski season. Whistler Blackcomb opened early on November 21 with nearly 90 inches of snow since November 1. Heavenly Ski Resort and Northstar California Resort in Tahoe also opened early due to natural snowfall and excellent snowmaking temperatures. In the Rockies, Keystone Resort, Breckenridge Ski Resort, and Vail Mountain are open, with Park City Mountain set to open on November 22. Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Beaver Creek Resort are scheduled to open on November 27, adding to the options for Epic Pass holders. European resorts Andermatt-Sedrun and Crans-Montana in Switzerland also received significant snowfall, with 16-30 inches in the past five days.
