Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET) and JD Cloud, an affiliate of JD.com, announced a partnership today to accelerate AI inference deployment and scaling for developers worldwide. The collaboration aims to reduce latency for AI inference workloads by up to 80 percent, creating a truly global, high‑performance AI cloud that connects developers to the China market and vice versa.
The partnership builds on a five‑year foundation of joint work, expanding the integrated network to enable developers to activate a presence in China with a single click—without changing code. Traffic from users in China is routed to JD Cloud’s local data centers, while all other traffic is served from Cloudflare’s global edge network, delivering secure, fast, and reliable performance with built‑in Web Application Firewall, DDoS mitigation, and CDN services.
By combining Cloudflare’s distributed computing platform with JD Cloud’s infrastructure, the alliance positions Cloudflare to capture a larger share of the rapidly growing edge AI market, while providing Chinese developers with seamless access to the rest of the world. The deal underscores Cloudflare’s strategy to expand its AI‑centric offerings and strengthen its competitive moat against hyperscalers.
