New Fortress Energy Inc. announced on July 15, 2025, that its subsidiary has executed a five-year agreement for the deployment of the Energos Winter, a 138,250 m³ floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU). The agreement is with the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS).
The Energos Winter will operate at EGAS' LNG import terminal located at Damietta, Egypt. This marks New Fortress Energy's second FSRU stationed in Egypt, with the Energos Winter expected to join the Energos Eskimo in the country as early as August 2025.
This long-term charter reinforces New Fortress Energy's relationship with EGAS and expands its footprint in the Egyptian market. Securing another multi-year contract for an FSRU provides a stable revenue stream and demonstrates the continued demand for the company's integrated energy solutions.
