NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. announced on April 1, 2025, the appointment of Brent Hamilton as its Director of Quality Assurance. This appointment is part of a series of additions to NANO Nuclear’s engineering, scientific, and regulatory licensing personnel. Mr. Hamilton brings over 26 years of experience in quality control, quality engineering, and quality assurance, primarily in nuclear construction for commercial nuclear, Department of Energy projects, and nuclear fuel manufacturing.
Mr. Hamilton has extensive experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems focused on meeting key regulatory licensing requirements, including those under 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B; 10 CFR Part 70; 10 CFR Part 830; DOE O 414.1D; and CSA N286. His expertise is expected to be highly beneficial in identifying critical project attributes and developing processes to validate them, particularly for the newly acquired KRONOS MMR™ Energy System and portable LOKI MMR™.
His background includes quality leadership positions in projects such as the Plutonium Processing Facility at Savannah River National Laboratory and the development of manufacturing scale processes for TRISO fuel in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This appointment reflects NANO Nuclear’s commitment to retaining top talent and ensuring its technologies are built to the highest quality standards as it progresses its advanced nuclear microreactor designs through construction, demonstration, regulatory licensing, and commercialization.
