ServiceNow Inc. has committed CA$110 million to establish a Canada Centre of Excellence that will host AI‑ready digital infrastructure and create roughly 100 high‑skilled jobs across the country. The multi‑year investment will provide federal departments, crown corporations, provincial governments and major cities with Canadian‑hosted, secure AI platforms that meet stringent data‑safety, privacy and operational controls required by public‑sector customers.
The move is part of ServiceNow’s broader strategy to position its AI platform as the preferred solution for government digital transformation. By building a local centre, the company addresses Canada’s growing demand for data sovereignty and secure AI adoption, while deepening relationships with public‑sector clients and expanding its footprint in a high‑growth, regulated market.
ServiceNow’s trailing‑twelve‑month revenue of $12.67 billion and a market capitalization of $177.26 billion underscore the company’s financial strength. The investment is supported by a 21.05% year‑over‑year revenue growth and a gross profit margin of 78.05%, giving ServiceNow the capacity to fund strategic initiatives without compromising profitability.
Chris Ellison, ServiceNow’s Group Vice President and General Manager for Canada, said the investment “deepens our commitment to the Canadian economy by creating high‑skilled jobs and expanding our local footprint, helping the public sector modernize how it serves citizens.” Canada’s Minister of AI and Digital Innovation, Evan Solomon, added that the centre “will advance secure AI adoption and digital sovereignty for Canadian governments.”
ServiceNow already serves a growing number of Canadian public‑sector customers, and the new centre will accelerate the deployment of its AI‑powered workflow solutions. The investment is expected to generate additional subscription revenue as agencies adopt ServiceNow’s AI platform for routine automation, improved service delivery and tighter data residency controls.
By allocating CA$110 million to a dedicated Canadian hub, ServiceNow is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the public‑sector AI market, reinforcing its competitive moat and setting the stage for future growth in subscription revenue.
