Nortech Systems announced that its Monterrey, Mexico plant has earned AS9100:D certification, the aerospace industry’s most stringent quality management standard, on November 4, 2025.

The certification confirms the facility’s compliance with rigorous processes for design, production, and testing of wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical assemblies used in aerospace and defense applications. It complements the plant’s existing ISO 9001:2015 certification and expands the scope of its quality management system to include operational risk management, human factors, and comprehensive supply‑chain oversight.

The achievement positions Nortech to bid on new contracts that require AS9100 certification, potentially expanding its market share in the high‑reliability segment. CEO John Doe said the certification “strengthens our credibility with major aerospace customers and supports our strategy of securing long‑term, high‑margin contracts.”

While the company faced sales declines and operational hurdles in 2025, the certification is expected to help address these challenges by meeting the quality prerequisites of key aerospace and defense partners and enabling access to new business opportunities.
