Nutex Health Inc. opened its 26th micro‑hospital, Archview ER & Hospital, on 2025‑12‑22 at 1320 N. Jefferson Ave in North St. Louis. The 16,000‑square‑foot facility houses 15 emergency‑room beds, three inpatient suites, a full‑service laboratory and advanced imaging equipment—including MRI, CT, X‑ray and ultrasound—designed to deliver 24/7 concierge‑level care.

The opening marks Nutex’s first location in Missouri and expands its footprint to 12 states. The company has built 26 micro‑hospitals across the country, and the St. Louis site repurposes the former Homer G. Phillips Memorial Hospital building, which closed in March 2025 after a temporary shutdown. By entering Missouri, Nutex taps a new patient base while reinforcing its strategy of deploying compact, high‑margin facilities in underserved urban areas.

Nutex’s recent financial performance underscores the significance of the expansion. Revenue rose 93.8% year‑over‑year to $479.9 million in 2024, driven largely by a $169.7 million increase in arbitration revenue under the No Surprises Act. The company returned to profitability, reporting operating income of $130.6 million in 2024 versus a $31.8 million loss in 2023. The new micro‑hospital is expected to add to this momentum by increasing patient volume and generating additional revenue streams.

CEO Tom Vo emphasized the strategic importance of the St. Louis site, noting its proximity to the Gateway Arch and the National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency campus. He said the facility will “provide personalized, high‑quality care to the community while reinforcing Nutex’s low‑cost, high‑margin model.” The company anticipates that Archview ER & Hospital will contribute to revenue growth and help accelerate the ramp‑up of new micro‑hospitals.

The micro‑hospital model has proven effective in other markets, with new sites typically reaching full operational capacity within 12 to 18 months. By leveraging existing infrastructure and focusing on emergency and inpatient services, Nutex can quickly capture patient volume and generate cash flow. The St. Louis launch positions the company to compete with larger hospitals while maintaining the agility and cost advantages that define its business model.
